The first and easiest way to use the canapés is to make ‘Mumbaiyya Chaat’ in it. Extremely quick to make this can be a great appetizer. It is light and crunchy to eat and tastes fantastic.
Ingredients:
1 Boiled Potato (chopped)
1 Cup Boiled Corn
1 Onion (chopped)
1 Tomato (chopped)
1 Lemon
Coriander (chopped)
Red Chilli Powder
Chaat Masala Powder
Coriander Chutney (Green)
Dates Chutney (Red)
1 Bowl Sev
Recipe:
Brush some oil and bake the canapés until they are slightly golden/brown. Remove from oven and let them cool for 5 minutes. Mix all the vegetables with lemon, salt, red chilli powder and chaat masala. Place this mixture in the baked canapé cups. Top it up with both chutneys and sev and garnish with coriander. Serve immediately after plating.
This recipe is a great way to get your kids to eat all those extra veggies without making so much of a fuss. These are easy to eat and delicious and can be a great alternative for a salad or an after school snack.

2 Tbsp. Butter
1 Green Capsicum (chopped)
½ Cup Boiled Corn
2 Green Chillies (chopped)
¼ Cup Coriander (chopped)
Salt
Pepper
Recipe:
Once again, brush them with a little oil/butter and bake until crisp. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the green chillies for a few minutes. Add the capsicum and once it is done add the corn. Sprinkle salt and pepper and cook till dry. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve. Serve immediately so the canapés remain crunchy.

4 Tbsp. Tomato Sauce
¼ cup Mozzarella Cheese
1 Tbsp. Tomato (chopped)
1 Tbsp. Onion (chopped)
1 Tbsp. Capscium (chopped)
1 Tbsp. Boiled Corn
Pizza Seasoning
Recipe:
Place the Canapes in a baking tray and spread the tomato paste on them. Add a few pieces of the onion, tomato, corn and capsicum. Sprinkle some pizza seasoning. Fill it till the top with Mozzarella Cheese. Now place it in the oven till the canapé turns golden and the cheese melts. Serve hot.

Ingredients:
Baked Canapes
½ Cup Sevaiyan (Vermicelli)
1 Tbsp. Ghee
½ Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
¼ Tbsp Cardomom Powder
Slivers of Almonds
Recipe:
Take a non stick pan and melt the ghee. Add the vermicelli and roast till brown. In a separate bowl mix the sugar and water and cook on slow flame till the sugar melts completely. Add the sugar syrup and cardamom to the roasted vermicelli. Cover and cook till the vermicelli is moist and the water evaporates. Take this mixture and add it to the pre-baked canapé cups. Garnish with almonds and serve immediately.
Canapes are soft in nature and are best served immediately or they tend to turn soggy. Also, remember to bake them instead of frying as this cuts down the calories making it a healthy meal.
