Your daily set of Workout Essentials – food groups you have to start including in your diet!

The human machine in more than one ways is nothing but a machine. It is motile in movement, can perform a range of tasks and goes through constant wear and tear, even more so when it is exercised.
In order to keep it up to date and keep it running, like machines we need food. In order to maintain your weight and get to your optimum physical fitness, you need to only remember one mantra:
Food = Fuel.
Once you get your mind to understand what this means, it will start adapting slowly and accept only that what is good for it, thus making you super fit in no time! We don’t mean unhealthy fast food when we’re talking about food, but what we mean are essential food groups that are crucial for your health.
To make this easier to understand, we’ve listed one food item that stands for its food group, each of which you should add to your everyday meals.
1. Sweet Potato
Sweet Potatoes are an awesome example of Complex Carbs, which are carbs that are low in their glycemic value, thus taking longer to break down. They keep you full for a long time. Sweet Potatoes are an excellent source of Vit A, Vit C, manganese, copper, pantothenic acid and vitamin B6. They’re an excellent source of potassium, dietary fiber, niacin, vit B1, vit B2 and phosphorus.

2. Poultry
Both eggs and chicken are a good form of protein. Your body needs protein in order to feed your muscles and help them recover after a heavy workout. Your body also needs protein in order to burn fat during workouts. The more protein you eat the better your chances of losing weight! Adding eggs to your breakfast gives you that much needed protein boost every morning.
3. Flax Seeds
Flax seeds have been around for generations. Being the perfect plant source for Omega 6 fatty acids, it offers tons of benefits which include better digestion due to its high fiber content, clear skin, low cholesterol levels, curbing cravings, sorting out hormonal imbalances, etc! They’re high in fiber but have a low carb content, which means it aids weight loss.

4. Spinach
Popeye’s favorite food item – Spinach! This health benefits that this leafy green vegetable offers is more often than not overlooked. Not anymore though, thanks to us. 5.Yoghurt
Your gut health dictates your overall health, which is why caring for it has to be on the top of your priority list! Made of probiotics, due to fermentation, Yoghurt is a cheap and fail proof way of getting your gut health on track. Along with aiding digestion, yogurt also contains a decent amount of milk protien which helps you grow stronger. What’s more?
You can enjoy yoghurt at almost every meal. Smoothies for breakfast, yoghurt and fruit for dessert, etc. So come on, get creative and start your fitness journey!
