JULY 16, 2019
A smoothie is a snack that can be consumed at any time. What you put into your smoothie dictates whether it is going to be a healthy snack or a light indulgence. Here are some quick smoothie recipes to keep your hunger at bay all through the day.
- Peanut butter and banana smoothie
- 1 large banana
- 1 cup ice cubes
- ½ cup almond milk
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp. peanut butter
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
This smoothie is perfect for when you need that extra burst of energy without relying on chocolates and laddus. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top for extra flavour and serve immediately.
- Creamy avocado and kale smoothie
- 1 ¼ cup coconut water
- 2 cups baby kale leaves
- ½ cup avocado
- 1 banana
- 2 tsp. freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 cup ice cubes
This vitamin-rich drink is a nice pick-me-up during a sluggish day. Pour coconut water into a blender and add all the ingredients after it. Cover the blender and blend until it is smooth. Pair this smoothie with baked whole grain chips for a healthy and crunchy snack.
- Vegan winter smoothie
- ½ banana
- ½ cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp. peanut butter
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- 1 tbsp. chia seeds
- 1 handful of walnut pieces
- 1 cup ice cubes
Add your ingredients to a blender and blend them all together. We would recommend using chocolate flavoured protein powder to give it the right flavour. This healthy dessert smoothie makes you more likely to enjoy this as a healthy snack and stick to your diet instead of over-indulging in chocolate.
Experiment with your own smoothie recipes and pair them with baked potato chips from DIP Foods. These foods prove that healthy and tasty can exist together in harmony.
