Baked canapes recipe

  • Begin by dicing a potato into cubes and adding salt.
  • Mix the potatoes and the salt well in a bowl.
  • Bake the potatoes at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 - 15 minutes.

  • Add yoghurt, tamarind chutney, green chutney and pomegranate pearls to the Canapé.
  • Sprinkle the canape with chaat masala, red chilli powder, coriander leaves and red bell pepper curls.

Pani Puri

To make delicious pani puri at home all you need to do is prepare the water and filling and buy the puri. To add something new to an old favourite you can baked pani puri from DIP Foods and leave your guests wondering just how you do it.

  • Beginning with the tangy and spicy water, add 2 green chillies, ½ cup of coriander leaves, 3 cups of mint leaves to your mixer grinder.
  • Add ½ tsp. cumin powder, 1 tsp. black salt, ½ tsp. pepper powder, 1 tsp. pani puri masala, salt and lemon juice.
  • Grind the mixture until it is a smooth paste and add water as needed.
  • Remove the paste in a bowl and add 3 cups of water, if need be you can add more water later.
  • Strain the paste through a sieve to get rid of the lumpy parts, you now have your flavoured pani puri water.
  • Keep this in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours before serving.
  • For the filling, you need to begin by boiling 2 potatoes and cutting them into cubes.
  • Add ½ cup soaked moong, ½ cup soaked boondi, black salt and cumin seed powder to the potatoes.
  • Mix this well and fill the puri with this mixture.
  • Add tamarind chutney and the paani and serve.

Baked whole wheat croutons

This is the easiest and most versatile recipe on this list as it can be customised to your own personal preferences with almost no effort.

  • Cut some whole wheat bread into cubes.
  • In a bowl mix the bread with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  • Feel free to add any other seasoning you wish like oregano, crushed garlic powder and red chilli powder.
  • Spread your bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake them at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until toasted.
  • That’s it, your baked whole wheat croutons are now ready to be served with the dip of your choosing.
