Holy Guacamole!

Guacamole, the super-food, is made from everyone’s favourite – Avocado’s Guacamole is a great complementary healthy snack and is good for you, no matter which way you slice it. Avocados are known as the alphabet fruit, as it contains an array of different vitamins, namely A, B6, C, E and K. That means with every bite, you get a ton of nourishment for your body!

The Original

Fresh Guacamole is THE staple dip, to have in your dip tray when serving to your friends & family, or just for a simple healthy snack! Mashed up Avocados, with chunks of tomatoes and onions, seasoned to perfection! Here’s our incredible homemade Guac recipe

Ingredients:

3 units of Ripened Avocados

2 Tablespoon’s of Lime Juice

Salt As per your requirement

6 Cloves of Garlic

1 small bunch of Coriander Leaves

1 unit of chopped up Jalapeños

1 unit of chopped up Tomatoes

1 unit of chopped up Onions

1 unit of Jalapeno Chilli

1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice

Instructions:

Step 1 – Prepare the tomato onion sauce mix

Step 2- Finely chopped tomato, onion, Jalapeno Chilli, coriander leaves. Squeeze lemon juice

Step 3 – Take a bowl and add finely chopped tomato, onion, chilli, lemon juice and coriander leaves. Add lemon juice and salt. Mix them well. Let this marinate for 20 minutes.

Step 4 – For the chunky guacamole, peel avocado, garlic. Chop them roughly. Chop coriander leaves, jalapeño roughly.

Step 5 – Take a mortar and add avocado, garlic, coriander leaves, jalapeño, lemon juice & salt.

Step 6 – Grind them until they turn completely mushy. Garlic must be crushed well.

Step 7 – At this stage, add the tomato onion sauce mix and grind again.

Step 8 – This cannot be like a paste and shall be crunchy.

To make this dish even more healthy, you can pair this with DIP Tortilla chips, or can use cucumber, celery, or carrot sticks for dipping or just eat this scrumptious guacamole all on its own.

The Guacamole Con Tamate:

Ingredients

2 Tablespoon tomatoes (seeded and chopped)

35 gm sweet onion (finely chopped)

2 Tablespoon coriander (finely chopped)

1 Tablespoon red chilli powder

Instructions:

Step 1: Mash the avocados with a fork until chunky.

Step 2: Stir in the tomatoes, lime juice, onion, coriander, and red chilli powder. Season to taste with salt and ground pepper.

Step 3: Serve at room temperature with DIP Pita Chips, Tortilla Chips or Multigrain Strips.
