However, these temporary solutions are just an aid to get you through your craving. Your ideal goal should be to stop these cravings from ever occurring. Thankfully, we’ve worked on a list of food items that do just this.
- Water: Nothing helps like water does. A lot of times your body says you are craving something or are hungry when in reality all you need if to quench your thirst. Keep yourself hydrated through the day and you will always be sugar-free.
- Flaxseeds: Ground flaxseeds contain fiber, which helps you feel fuller longer. They can also reduce candida symptoms, which is a major cause of sugar cravings.
- Quinoa: Quinoa contains the mineral Magnesium. A deficiency in Magnesium might be the reason you have cravings in the first place.
- Coconut Oil: Coconut Oil has a slightly sweet taste. It slows down the release of glucose into the blood which gives you a longer feeling of satisfaction.
- Berries: Berries contain the polyphenols that inhibit many of the adverse consequences of the sugar contained in the fruit without affecting the taste.
