Why are Healthy Snacks so Important?

Not all Healthy snacks are fruits and vegetables; Believe it or not, Snacking is a very important part of a healthy diet because it helps satisfy your hunger between meals & can boost your energy levels while further lowering the chances that you will binge eat. Many people stay away from ‘snacks’ because they are afraid that eating these will lead to weight gain. Another misconception, is that Healthy Snacks ‘don’t taste as good ’,can offer you with many health benefits while being mouthwatering tasty as well! These delicious Healthy Snacks can also be included in your weight loss regimes!

Red Bell Peppers with Guacamole

Red bell peppers are actually very healthy, as they are high in antioxidants and rich in vitamin C. Pairing 1 Large Red Bell Pepper with 85 grams of Guacamole, will give you a healthy amount of fats and fibre, and will keep your healthy snacks calorie count under 200!

Apple Slices with Almond Butter

Apples are amazing. Peanut Butter is amazing. They definitely taste fantastic together. Apples contain high fibre & antioxidants. Whereas Peanut Butter on its own, has major benefits to the health of your heart, just like apples. Told you it’s a match made in sweet heaven!

Cut half an apple, the slices with 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter provides a great balance of sweet flavour with crisp and creamy peanut butter textures at just under 200 calories. Can you believe it? Definitely try it out, we cannot keep our hands off this, but use the peanut butter in moderation, it’s quite easy to get carried away!

Chickpeas are an excellent source for proteins, healthy fats, fiber, carbohydrates, and a long list of vitamins and minerals. This versatile little seed is a great meat alternative for vegetarians and vegans, and especially Indians!
